1. Join with a yearly membership While founding memberships are still available, a yearly membership makes you a founding member automatically.
2. Gift up to 12 memberships Send a few right away and the rest whenever you like.
3. They join free, and stay free forever The people you gift memberships to never pay. When they accept, they'll be automatically connected to you in the app. Gifting memberships is your founding-member perk.

What happened

Founding members joined on a yearly membership and each received a dozen free memberships to give away. Those gifts are permanent — the people who accepted them will never be asked to pay.

Snickerdoodle is open to everyone on a monthly or yearly membership. Same app, same people, no ads and no algorithm.

The details

• Founding memberships require the yearly plan, and are limited to 200 members.
• Each gift is good for 30 days from when you send it and can be claimed once. Unclaimed gifts come back to you.
• A membership you've given away is permanent — it isn't withdrawn if your own membership lapses.
• Free access lasts for as long as Snickerdoodle operates, covers the app as it exists plus ordinary improvements, is for one account, and isn’t transferable.
• Gift memberships can't be passed on — gifting is a founding-member perk.
